Obituary

Daniel Lawrence Puskas, age 84, passed away on May 2, 2017 peacefully in his sleep.

Daniel was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 14 1932. He attended Butler University where he played football. Daniel served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy.

During his career, he served as a Police Sargent of Three Rivers Michigan, a Deputy for St. Joseph County and a Magistrate for St. Joseph County. He and his wife served as host and hostess at Caballo State Park in New Mexico, where they made their home for 10 years. While at Caballo, they discovered an ancient Indian pueblo dating back from 750 to 1100 A.D. Archeologists named the pueblo "The Puskas Pueblo".

Daniel was married 55 years to his loving wife, Doris Jayne Casey, who preceded him in death.

Daniel is survived by his three children, Melissa Puskas Hagenbuch, Sara Jayne DePoy and Daniel Paul Puskas; his brother Lawrence Puskas; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Puskas and Ella Puskas; as well as his sister Mary Ann Beck; brother Mike Puskas and brother Steven Puskas.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on May 11, 2017 at Houston National Cemetery: 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas  77038.
