Daniel James Jacobson, 30, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Daniel was born in Yorba Linda, California on January 6, 1987 to John and Susan Jacobson. His family moved to Florida and Scotland before settling in Houston in 1998. He attended Cypress Creek H.S. where he was a member of the Orchestra as a cellist. He enjoyed traveling and explored Europe on several group trips. After overcoming many obstacles in his life, he recently completed his Associate's Degree and was looking forward to attending the University of Houston this Fall to earn his degree in Accounting.
Daniel was famous for his huge heart and bone-crushing hugs. He was happiest cooking, spoiling the various fur-babies in his life, concocting business ventures and helping others.
Daniel is survived by his parents, his brother David (and wife Thuy) of Los Angeles, CA; his sister Megan of Salt Lake City, UT; his maternal grandmother, Wilma Higgins of Haines City, FL; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Lee Jacobson of Tucson, AZ; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the country.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at Klein Funeral Home in Champion Forest. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. with services at 2:00 p.m. Per Daniel's wishes, please wear bright, colorful clothing (preferably orange).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI, the SPCA, The American Heart Association, or the March of Dimes.
