Daniel Galán "El Chief", 61, of Houston, passed away June 3, 2018. He was born November 22, 1956, in Merced, CA to the late Apolinar Galán and Elisa Vasquez Galán .

Galán
was an Agriculture and Welding teacher for 32 years at Calexico High School. He mentored and impacted the lives of many youths and was a father figure to them. On more than one occasion students would return to thank him for not giving up on them. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend to those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
