Daniel Peter Buckley, 71, of Tomball, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2017 in Magnolia, Texas.
Daniel "Dan", or known to his family as "Danny," was born in Rockville Centre, New York, to the late Thomas Bernard Buckley and Katherine O'Rourke Buckley on January 9, 1946. He grew up in Lynbrook, New York, where he graduated from St. Agnes High School. He attended college at Villanova University and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps upon graduation. Dan served his Country from 1967-1970.
After leaving the Marines, he began a long career as a Federal Narcotic Agent with the BNDD/DEA. Dan retired from the DEA in 2001. During his career Dan enjoyed many opportunities to travel, and to also live in the Netherlands for six memorable years. He also made many lasting friendships throughout his career and during his retirement years.
Dan is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Mary Buckley, and his son from his previous marriage, Brendon Patrick Buckley. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Buckley; sister, Patricia Buckley Peters; cousins, Missy McKenna, Sheila McKenna, Thomas McKenna, Mark McKenna, and Herb Finn; and a number of nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by numerous friends and other family members, as well as his two beloved dogs, Brandy and Lucy.
