Dana Stroud Simpson
August 29, 1947 – November 4, 2025

Dana Stroud Simpson, 78, of Cypress, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished.

Born in Houston on August 29, 1947, Dana was the beloved daughter of Oscar and Luree Mize Stroud, both of whom now welcome her into heaven. A proud member of the Stroud and Mize families, she built a life rich in faith and family.

In her early career, Dana owned a personal business-management firm, where her sharp mind and warm heart guided executives and physicians alike. Later she poured that same creativity into the beauty of flowers and plants, crafting arrangements that brightened homes and hearts across the community.

Dana's greatest joy, however, was her family. She bragged shamelessly about every grandchild and never missed a chance to gather everyone around her table. She leaves behind:

● Her devoted husband, Floyd Simpson
● Sisters Wanda Shull and Norma Clark
● Sons Justin Hughes (Michelle) and Eric Hughes (Wendi)
● Grandchildren Cameron, Jack, Manon, and Nolan Hughes
● Step-grandchildren Amber Moore, Marissa Moore and Jesse Smith
● A host of treasured nieces, nephews, and friends
● Her faithful and ever loving shadow, Zoe

A lifelong follower of Christ, Dana's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She celebrated the Lord with joy at Free Will Baptist Church in Houston, where her smile lit the pews and her prayers lifted countless souls.

While our hearts ache with loss, we rejoice in knowing Dana has been welcomed into heaven by her family and friends who went before her. She is whole again, free from the burdens of illness, and safely in the arms of her Savior.
