Damian Edward Walat, Age 67, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Damian was born on January 1, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His parents were Edward and Wanda ("Dulidaj") Walat. Survived by his beloved wife Shirley Anne (Boff), Damian was the loving father of Cassandra Moody (Walat) and Candace McKenna (Walat). Damian, affectionally called "Pappy," was an involved grandfather to Emmaline, Charlotte, and Avery. Damian had one late brother, Darius Walat, nephew Bryce Walat, and niece Kristin Walat whom he loved dearly. Many family members and friends in Pittsburgh were precious to him.

For over four decades, Damian loved serving customers through industrial supplies sales, where many connections became loyal, lifelong friends. Damian and Shirley were faithful members in their local Roman Catholic church where they provided their girls with a firm foundation in faith. Shirley and Damian could often be found in their backyard watching hummingbirds underneath the grand magnolia tree or watching the Astros. Damian truly loved spending time with family. His granddaughters all adored how loving, sweet, and funny he was. Giggling with Pappy is a memory they will always cherish. All his girls were his life and purpose, as he loved and provided for them well up until his final breath.

The funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church at 200 Grace Street in McKees Rocks, PA 15136, on Saturday at 4 p.m., immediately followed by the graveside burial. A reception for family and friends will be held at 6 p.m. at Rockefeller's Grille 1833 McKees Rocks Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church at htpncc.org in remembrance of Damian .
