Our amazing mother, Dalia Sarmiento, passed away last night at the age of 64 after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her children, her husband of 42 years, and immediate family. There are no words to express our grief, nor our gratitude for having her in our lives as long as we did. She got to see both her children grow up, marry, and have children of their own. She helped so many people around the world with both her words and her actions. She will never be forgotten.

Nuestra preciosa madre, Dalia, falleció anoche a los 64 años tras una larga y dura batalla contra el cáncer. Estaba rodeada de sus hijos, su esposo—con quien compartió 42 años de matrimonio—y sus familiares más cercanos. No hay palabras para expresar nuestro dolor, ni nuestra gratitud por haberla tenido en nuestras vidas durante todo este tiempo. Pudo ver a sus hijos crecer, casarse y tener sus propios hijos. Ella ayudó a muchísimas personas en todo el mundo, tanto con sus palabras como con sus acciones. Jamás será olvidada.
