Cynthia Struwe White, age 66, of Houston, entered the beatific vision on Sunday, August 22, 2021 after a short illness.

Cindy was born to Faye Brown and Edgar Benjamin Struwe. She attended North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) where she was a voice major. She married Stephen Webster White on November 29, 1975 at St. Ambrose Church in Houston.

Cindy had a lifelong love of good music, both classical and pop. She was an accomplished pianist, as well.  For several of her early married years she was the pianist at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. She also gave private piano lessons in Austin and Houston. She sang soprano in high school and at university. She was All State Choir her senior year in high school. She sang with the Grand Chorus at North Texas where they performed the world premiere of Penderecki's Dies Irae at the Kennedy center in Washington D.C. She continued playing until just recently.

She was raised in Houston by her mother, Faye and her father Edgar, who she especially adored. She frequently traveled with her parents to visit her grandparents in Caldwell, TX and Brunswick, Georgia.

She is survived by her favorite husband, Steve, her best son, Ben, her lovely daughter-in-law Caitlyn, and her lifelong friend Brenda Price of Tomball, TX. She is survived as well by her beloved Shetland sheepdog, Maggie.

The vigil will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX on Thursday, August 26 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 6:00. The funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Road, Houston at 2:00 p.m. Friday August 27.
