On Sunday November 28th, Cindy Slatton, devoted wife to Don, adoring mother to 3 daughters and doting Meme to 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, passed away at the age of 71.
She was born on February 10, 1950 to Ignacio Zermeño and Mable Ramey in Houston, Texas.
In 1985 she married Don and they built a wonderful life together in Spring. She loved him unconditionally until her last breath.
Cindy was an avid fan of the Houston Astros and Rockets. Her love of the game radiated throughout her home. Often times Cindy would be decked out in her team garb cheering on her beloved teams from her favorite chair with her two favorite dogs, Shotzy and Duke.
In fact, one of her most prized possessions is an impromptu picture of her granddaughter and Jose Altuve!
Cindy absolutely loved her grandchildren. She always showered them with thoughtful gifts and encouraged them to grow closer to Christ. They made her happy from their first breath to her last, they were her pride and joy.
Cindy was love to all those who knew her. If you were lucky enough to know her, you loved her. She was blessed to have many friends and many friends were blessed to have her.
We were blessed to be surrounded by the amazing nurses at the hospital who showed the same compassion that Cindy was known for in her nursing career.
The greatest gift that we could give her, is all of us together- as a family. She always wanted that.
Cindy is love.
