With faith in the Resurrection and trust in God's eternal promise, we commend to the loving mercy of our Lord- Cynthia Flor Risma Degracia, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on December 15, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Victor Risma Sr and Consorcia Caintic Risma.
Cynthia is survived by her devoted husband, Mateo Degracia, whose love and companionship were a constant blessing throughout her life. She was a loving mother to Myrah Joy Ubas (spouse Devie Ubas) and Melvic Degracia (spouse Cherry Degracia), and a cherished grandmother to Drey Nathan Ubas, Drue Benedict Ubas, Mykah Rae Ubas, Angela Degracia, Ysabela Degracia, and John Melvic Degracia. Her family was the center of her life, and she gave of herself to them with unwavering love and devotion.
A woman of deep faith, Cynthia found great comfort and strength in prayer and in faithfully hearing the Holy Mass and praying the rosary every chance she gets. She loved to sing and to praise God through music, and she cherished every time spent with her family. When she was able, she enjoyed traveling with her loved ones, grateful for every shared moment and blessing along the way.
Cynthia was a graduate of Chong Hua Hospital in the Philippines and dedicated her life to the vocation of nursing during her early years. A retired nurse, she served with compassion and professionalism in the Emergency Room and Procedure Room, offering healing, comfort, and dignity to all entrusted to her care. Her work reflected Christ's call to serve others with mercy and love.
Cynthia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and selfless heart. Though we mourn her passing, we find hope in the promise that she now rests in the peace of Christ. May she be welcomed into the heavenly kingdom and rewarded for a life lived in love and service.
"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine"
