Cynthia Alan (Lynch) Crossley passed away at the hospital in Tomball, Texas, on July 16, 2025, at age 86. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Jones and husband Stephen of Boulder Colorado and daughter Alison Zubicek and husband Vince of Fulshear, Texas. Cynthia is also survived by grandchildren Marshall Jones, Kinsey Jones, Lauren Zubicek, Luke Zubicek and many nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband P. Lewis Crossley, son Scott Lewis Crossley, and her parents Alan Charles Lynch and Pearl Edmondson Lynch.

Cynthia was born in 1938, in Llano, Texas, an only child. As her father was a chaplain in the U.S. Navy and then a preacher, the family moved often while she was young. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School (while there voted Band Sweetheart and Senior Favorite), attended Texas Christian University, and received a degree in both English and French.

After graduation Cynthia worked as a secretary for Shell Oil, Jade Oil and Gas, and Philips Petroleum. While living in Midland after graduation, she met the love of her life, Lewis Crossley. After having children, she became a full-time wife, mom, and homemaker.

Cynthia was a musical person, talented at piano and singing. She eventually started teaching piano out of the home and she played the accompaniment for the church youth choir. She was also a very dedicated church choir member at Cypress Creek Christian Church, and community choir member with the Cecilian Singers for many, many years.

Cynthia loved to read and made sure she brought something to read if she was away from the house. She was also a great cook who enjoyed honing her skills throughout the years.

She was great about corresponding with family and friends - writing letters, then through email. She loved both writing and receiving long emails from loved ones. Cynthia also had fun hosting friends at her house on a regular basis and cheering on the TCU Horned Frogs.

Cynthia had warmth and ease about her which made her house a home. She was hospitable and smiled often, making everyone feel welcome. Cynthia's love, patience and selflessness shone brightly in the way she lived her life and interacted with others. She was truly a gift and blessing to her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to go to Cypress Creek Christian Church.
