Curt is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet Robb; daughters and sons-in-laws, Pam and Rich Roussell, and Paula and Joe Bowman, Grandchildren Taylor Bowman and Mason Bowman, sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Fred Sherron, nephews Robb Sherron, Marc Sherron and Todd Sherron and their spouses and children.

Curt is preceded in death by his parents Egerton and Vera Robb, Grandparents Alfred and Christina Robb, and Jeff and Marshall Curtis.

Curtis Egerton Robb was born to Egerton and Vera Robb in Hammond, Indiana on July 21, 1937. The Robb family moved to Deer Park, Texas during World War II where his father was Chief Engineer at Shell Oil's Deer Park Plant.  Curt attended Deer Park ISD through 3rd grade.  He remembers some students rode their horses to school and tied them to trees on campus.

Shell moved Curt's father to San Francisco in 1946. They lived in San Mateo, California where he attended 4th and 5th grades.  His family was active in the First Baptist Church, San Mateo. In 1948, Shell moved the family to New York City and lived in nearby Port Washington where he attended Junior High and High Schools.  He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the age of 13. He was grateful to have grown up in a dedicated, Christian home.  After graduating high school, he attended Eastern Baptist College in St. David's, Pennsylvania.  While in college, he worked for United Airlines during summer breaks.  He met Janet in his senior year of college at Camp Corbley, a Pittsburg Baptist Association Camp. They corresponded occasionally over the next four years.  After college graduation, Curt was drafted into the US Army in November 1960 and attended Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey.  He spent 20 months at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama doing Missile Maintenance on the Nike Hercules Air Defense Missile project.  He was discharged as a SP5 (Sergeant).  Although, he enjoyed his military service time, he was glad to be discharged.

After his service in the US Army, he returned to United Airlines for about a year and enrolled in Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1964, Janet traveled to New York City to visit him. They went on several dates to The World's Fair in New York City.  This was the beginning of their serious relationship. In March 1965, he left seminary, packed up his Rambler and moved to Texas to marry Janet.

In March of 1965, Curt accepted a positon at Houston Light and Power and moved to Houston. Curt and Janet married on July 10, 1965 in Fort Worth, TX. After settling down in Houston, the Lord blessed them over the years with two daughters, Pam and Paula, two Sons in law, Rich and Joe and two grandchildren, Taylor and Mason.

He enjoyed 13 years at Garden Oaks Baptist Church in Houston where he served as an ordained deacon. In December of 1977, Curt and Janet moved into the house they built in Magnolia, Texas and joined First Baptist Church of Magnolia where he was a member for over 40 years and also an ordained deacon.  He served as the Financial Secretary for 7 years and Head Teller of the Teller Committee which is responsible for processing offerings and updating contribution records for more than 30 years. Curt retired from the light company in 1992 with 27 years in various customer service capacities.

His hobbies included serving his community as a longtime, dedicated member of the Magnolia Lion's Club where he served for 34 years in various positions. Other hobbies included gardening, wood working, traveling, hunting and fishing.  He also thoroughly enjoyed cutting and selling firewood.  He sold and delivered over 1,000 cords of wood throughout the years.

Curt especially loved spending time with his friends fellowshipping and enjoying a delicious dinner together on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.

In addition to his loving wife and daughters, he is survived by his faithful and loving cat, Pepper, a real snuggle bug.
