Creola Mae Duncan Braunagel was escorted into her eternal rest by her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 29th, 2020 at the age of 93 after a brief hospitalization. She was born to Theodore and Kizzie Doyal Duncan on November 6, 1926 in Houston, Texas, where she lived until retiring in Magnolia, Texas in 1991.

Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years John J. Braunagel, Creola was a loving mother to her son Dan E. Braunagel and his wife Pat Bobo Braunagel and to her adopted daughter Judy Bobo Hamblen and husband Tony; grandmother to Amy E. Gingrich (Chris), Erin A. PoweU (Lucas), Joshua A. Hamblen (Jamie), and Jeremy R. Hamblen (Meagan); great-grandmother to Kaitlyn R. Gingrich, Hannah J. Gingrich, Alaina F. Gingrich, Mary G. Powell, Benjamin L. Powell, Lauren M. Hamblen, Sawyer H. Hamblen, Betty
G. Hamblen, Finley B. Hamblen, and Austen Mae Hamblen.

The Lord granted Creola the gift of service which she used in her career as an RN in the operating room at St. Joseph and Heights Hospitals in Houston, as an LVN instructor at the former Memorial Hospital, and as a volunteer at the Society of Samaritans in Magnolia where she helped to operate the food pantry. She loved playing bridge at the Senior Citizens' Center, painting, needlework, reading, University of Texas football, Bible Study, and attending church at St. Paul's Lutheran in Magnolia.

For the last six years of her life, Creola resided at The Heritage in Tomball, Texas where she was well­ loved by residents and staff. The family would like to thank the staff of The Heritage for their loving care and concern.

A celebration of Creola's life will be held Friday, July 3rd, at 10:00 at Klein Funeral Home Magnolia-The Woodlands, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas 77354. Visitation will precede the service. Due to Covid, masks are required.
