Craig Allen Foster moved another step forward along his life's journey as he passed through the portal of death on May 30, 2020. Born in Lubbock, Texas on February 20, 1957, Craig has dedicated his life to serving the Lord and helping others along their path to find Him too. A talented carpenter by trade, Craig loves to build, fix, finish, and restore. His sense of humor and friendly personality have brought comfort and joy to those around him. At the age of 35, Craig made the personal commitment to join the Army and serve his country. During his service, he discovered he had Polycystic Kidney Disease, which altered the course of his life as he began his search for the truth eventually leading him to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All who are acquainted with Craig know the strength of his testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, which he is always eager to share with anyone who will listen. With a love of learning and study, and determined to not leave anything unfinished, Craig went back to school and worked hard to complete his Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston University in 2011. Craig is survived by his wife Lisa; sons Drew, Benjamin, Nolan, and Nelson; daughters Megan, Katie, Julie, and Verity; mother Barbara Farmer; and sisters Cathy Brown, Carole Rapp, Cynthia Weeks, and Connie Owens, as well as extended family and dear friends. Craig was preceded in death by his father Charles Rogers Foster. In his own words, Craig's main wish for those who love and miss him is: "I want everyone to be happy, and to remember that we didn't come here to stay here. And because our Father loves us, these are exciting times. What is ahead is so much better than what lies behind us."
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral attendance is limited and will be by invitation only. However, the funeral service will be livestreamed and can be accessed through the website link. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the PKD Foundation to further research for the cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease.
