Consuelo Alicia Suarez was born on June 21, 1950, in Morelos, Coahuila, Mexico to parents Mario and Alicia Garza. She was baptized at Parroquia Santa Rita de Casia in Morelos. She was brought to the United States in October of 1954 where she attended Holy Name Catholic Elementary School and Marian High School in Houston. She married Steve Seale in March of 1972. Their union produced two daughters, Alicia Jewel and Christina Renee, and a son, Ethan. Connie attended the University of St. Thomas and also earned a license in Cosmetology. She worked for many years as an estimator for various construction firms, including Marek Brothers Systems and a Window Covering business. She was also employed by House of Carpets and in time, she purchased the company. In later years, she partnered with her siblings in founding Quiltworks which included a Pffaf Dealership. She taught quilting, embroidery, and other classes in fabric arts for many years, even after she retired from Quiltworks.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mario Garza Rodriguez. She leaves behind to mourn her sudden passing, mother Alicia Garza Medina; daughter Alicia McGowan and husband Patrick; daughter Christina Holland and husband Reid; her son Ethan Seale; grandchildren Kirby McGowan, Cadence Holland, Coral Holland, and Trip Holland; siblings Henrietta Rottman and husband Gordon, Linda Hill and husband Randy, and Mario Garza and wife Lisa. The passing of "Favorite Aunt Con" is felt deeply by her nine nephews and nieces, 22 great-nephews and nieces, and three great-great nephews and niece. She will be profoundly missed by numerous members of the Tri-County Quilt Guild of Houston and all those members of the Thursday Evening Supper Club who are still waiting for that final text as to "What's for dinner?"

Family and friends of Consuelo are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday September 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Her ashes will be transported and scattered at a later date at Rancho El Consuelo, near the town of Morelos, Coahuila, Mexico.
