Connie Erdeljac, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2021. Born Constance June Sabatino, on September 10, 1935, in Grant Town, WV, Connie grew up in a small coal-mining town. She was a part of the "greatest generation," those that came from humble beginnings and worked their way to a better life. When Connie was 16, she met her dream man, Daniel Joseph Erdeljac. They fell in love and married in 1955. Soon after, Connie and Dan moved away from West Virginia, following their dreams and ambitions to better their lives and the lives of their children. They settled in Houston and spent the rest of their lives as proud Houstonians. Theirs was a good life, a happy life, and they had a profound and devoted love for one another. Connie started as a hairdresser, and while raising her children, she continued to dabble in the beauty industry. When her youngest child went off to college, Connie decided it was time to start a new adventure. Fearless as she was, she opened her day spa, quickly expanding to two locations and 40+ employees. She wasn't afraid to take a risk and try breakthroughs. As a result, Derma Technique was a trailblazer in the beauty industry. Though she had success in her businesses, nothing was more important to Nonnie ( a name penned when she had grandchildren) than her family and dear friends.

Nonnie loved her family, and she showered them with unconditional love and affection. She fed everyone who walked in her door, and she was an excellent cook. No one could make gnocchi, ravioli, and meatballs better than Nonnie. She looked at life always as an optimist, a favorite saying: "the sun always comes up in the morning." She had a forgiving spirit but a Mama Bear heart; it was clear to all who knew her that her family came first. Connie never forgot who she was or where she came from; she treated all people the same, with kindness and affection. She made everyone feel good. Connie was a devout Catholic and a fervent believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan, her two sons, Danny and Jim, her granddaughter Lulu, her sister Rose and her parents. She is survived by her daughters Mary (Mark) Roh and Laurie (Miles) Boldrick. She is also survived by her sons' wives, Kimmy and Darci, her brother Frank, 13 grandchildren, their spouses, and five great-grandchildren. Nonnie is loved by all who ever met her, and she will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 6646 Addicks Satsuma Rd, Houston, on June 25, 2021, at 11:00 in the morning.
