Obituary

On November 22, 2018, Connie Joann Rangel Ortega entered the gates of Heaven and sat at our Lord and Savior's table for Thanksgiving supper. She lost her battle to cancer, but her faith and courage glorified God until her final breath. Connie had three great loves in life: her family, her work, and Jesus. She was a member of Cypress Bible Church for 20 years and she enjoyed her fellowship in the women's group and on retreats. Through hard work, she became a Senior Vice President and Divisional Client Service Manager in the commercial banking division of Wells Fargo Bank. She loved what she did and treasured the friendships she made during her 19 years of employment there. Connie enjoyed telling you about all the places she'd traveled to, she loved showing off pictures of her grandkids, a good piece of chocolate, and music made her heart sing. She will be terribly missed, but we find peace in knowing that because of God's victory over the grave, we will see her again one day.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo "Chico" and Connie Rangel and her sister, Rosemary Guzman. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cody and Christina Doan, daughter and son in law, Christopher and Alexia Mitcham, son and daughter in law, Isaac and Wendy Ortega, five grandchildren, Addison Denson, Ryan and Jasper Doan, Ezra Ortega, and Evelynn Mitcham. Connie also leaves behind Brother and sister in law, Rumaldo Jr. and Meri Rangel, sister and brother in law, Octavio and Delia Hinajosa, sister and brother in law, Carlos and Irene Gloria, sister and brother in law, Rodney and Lydia Dominguez, sister Diana Alderete, sister and brother in law, John and Catherine Gutierrez, brother and sister in law Ricardo and Nancy Rangel, as well as many nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
