Connie Marie Chambers passed away from natural causes on May 26, 2020, in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 64, after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy, a rare neurological condition.
Connie was born in Farmington, New Mexico to Burl and Barbara. She graduated from Lindsay High School (Oklahoma) in 1973. She married Ben Chambers, her high school sweetheart, in 1974. After moving to Kingwood, Texas in 1989 she began working for Green Tree Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician and then became the office manager. She retired in 2014 after 25 years with the company.
Connie was a loving mother and grandmother with contagious laughter and a playful sense of humor. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her daughters in all of their activities, most notably in their pursuit of fast pitch softball at the high school and college levels. She was an Oklahoma Sooner sports fanatic, animal lover and an inspiring role model to friends and family.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband of forty-six years, Ben Chambers of The Woodlands, Texas, her brother Stephen Allen of Lindsay, Oklahoma, her children Stacy Whitaker of Mansfield, Texas, Amanda Wright of Spring, Texas, and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.n. Monday, June 1, 2020 at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the MSA Coalition in Connie's honor at www.multiplesystematrophy.org.
