Obituary

Conley John Hill, 3 months old, of Cypress, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on May 15, 2023. He was born January 31, 2023 in Houston, Texas to Jesse and Mamie Hill.

Conley John was born for such a time as this, so much so, he decided to come 8 weeks early via emergency c-section. He just couldn't wait to meet his mother, father, and brothers. Given his prematurity, but not his lack of will power, he stayed in the NICU for 6 weeks at Texas Children's. After discharge, Conley came home for 14 absolutely blissful days filled with snuggles galore and his older brothers continually doting on him. For example, all three boys stargazed together at night (thanks to big brother Ken's NASA alarm clock that projects stars onto the ceiling); his big brothers enjoyed loaning "baby Con-Wee," their favorite stuffed animal for a night or two; and baby Conley gained an incredible ability to sleep through his brothers very loud wrestling and bantering during nap time. Unfortunately, Conley had an incident that landed him back in the hospital for the next month plus. While there he was dubbed the "million-dollar baby," as tenured doctors and nurses tried to deduce what was affecting his health.

The positive side of a national nursing shortage meant Conley was able to interact and impact numerous nurses and health professionals - not surprisingly he was a favorite. Maybe it was because of his adorable cooing and babbling, a trademark of his, since he never cried a day in his life. Joy emanated from his whole being even in his sufferings at the hospital – he was truly special. Conley's parents never left his side, many days and nights were spent bedside snuggling, reading (the Gospels, I'll love you till the Cows Come Home, and God made you Special), and singing to him. He was very content, happy, and easy – he was joy. From a young age Conley was able to stand in faith for healing due to the many biblical seeds his parents planted. He knew that man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Finally, he received a devastating diagnosis – MECP2 Duplication Syndrome, which is incredibly rare. Conley came home for 11 more days and enjoyed many hot baths, star gazing (again), snuggles, being read to, and visits from his grandparents, aunts, uncles, & cousins (15 in counting). Conley was wrapped in prayer by so many faithful prayer warriors and the significance of that cannot be discounted. He and his parents are eternally grateful. Conley died peacefully at home in his mother's arms, from there he went directly to the arms of Jesus where he is now completely whole, lacking nothing, filled with the love of God and will never experience sorrow.

We love you CJ, being your Mother and Father was the absolute privilege of a lifetime. You were a good and precious gift from God, and every second of your existence was enriching and fulfilling. You will be greatly missed by daddy and I, as well as your brothers. You are our son for eternity, and we look forward to being reunited with you. All our love.

He is survived by his Father, Jesse Hill; Mother, Mamie Hill; Brothers, Kenneth and Kiel Hill.
