Clyde Estol Harthcock, Jr. departed this life and began a new journey on November 22, 2025. He passed peacefully in the home he built and where he enjoyed life with his family. Clyde was 82 years old and had been a resident of Magnolia, Texas since the 1970s. He grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and was the first-born son of Clyde Sr. and Roxie Harthcock and brother to Gary Don. All of whom have proceeded him in death. Clyde achieved the rank of 32nd Degree Freemason. He was a loving husband to his wife Jacqueline, whom he married in 1964, and together they raised two children. He is survived by his wife Jacque, his daughter Shelly and husband Jim, son Bill and wife Joann, and five grandchildren, Dawn, Alex, Logan, Emmerich, and Daniel.
Clyde was an iron worker superintendent and a member of iron workers union local 84. His work led him to become a general superintendent for large construction projects. Clyde's work in the construction industry allowed him to travel throughout the United States and beyond. In the 1990s, Jacque became his job clerk. Clyde and Jacque traveled and worked together spending significant time in North Carolina, Utah, Mexico and China, among others. He retired in 2011 and spent the remainder of his life enjoying his grandkids, watching science fiction, westerns, and teaching his grandchildren to shoot and about firearm safety.
He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Clyde will be laid to rest at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia on Monday, November 23rd, 2025.
