A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend,

Clyde Hale, 83 of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2023. An avid golfer and fisherman, Clyde ran his business with intelligence and integrity, though above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He was born in Pettus, Texas on June 16, 1939 to Georgia Mae and Jesse Clyde Hale.  Clyde graduated from Brackenridge High School, ('57) in San Antonio, TX, received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering  from Texas A & M University, ('61), where he graduated as 1st Lieutenant with the Aggie Corps of Cadets.  He then served in the U.S. Army, serving overseas in Stuttgart, Germany. Upon returning home to the U. S., he worked for the Allen Bradley Company for 3 years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before coming home to Texas in 1966 to be closer to family and start his own business, Ampair, Inc.. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and Champions Golf Club.

Clyde is survived and cherished by his wife, JoAnn, "Jupey"; son, Greg, (Lavonne); daughter-in-law, Misty; grandchildren, Tanner, Cooper, (Lily), Walker, Hannah; and brother, Bob, (Nancy).  He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse; mother, Georgia; sister, Joyce and son, Gary.

The pallbearers attending Clyde's service are, Tanner Farrell Hale, Dr. Cooper Watson Hale, Walker William Hale and Hannah Jane Hale, including Honorary Pallbearers: Ed Brooks, Rod Simmons and Don Wiese.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Clyde's name may be made to Camp Gary Fund at campgaryfund.org, a not-for-profit 501(C)3 organization dedicated to supporting a spirit of learning and growth of youth and young adults, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org
