Clova Laverne Peel Miller

Died November 29, 2021, in Flower Mound, Texas
Age 87
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years,

Clova was a 1951 graduate of Rochelle High School where she played most sports and was a Varsity cheerleader. The night before high school graduation, May 25,1951, she married her love Gaylord. In 1952, she graduated from Durham Business College in Austin, Texas. Clova and Gaylord enjoyed living in several Texas cities and spent most of their years in Houston. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling the USA and Europe, quilting, smocking, gardening, baking hundreds of loaves of Mimi bread, growing orchids and managing the ranch and longhorn herd in Elm Grove, Texas. Before retiring to the ranch, she had two oil refinery equipment purchasing agent jobs - one at Litwin Corporation and another at Brown & Root, both in Houston. Most of all, Clova enjoyed anything family - from the years of being the Westchester High School band parent with Gaylord to the future years of her growing family.
