Clint Byron Gehring was born in Houston on October 9, 1956 to proud first-time parents Verner and Jimmie Gehring. A year later, their family continued to grow, eventually adding three sisters to Clint's life:  Sandra, Nancy, and Carol. Clint was the classic older brother who pestered and picked at his sisters. He liked to create chaos that his mom would have to smooth out. He was a man of few words, but knew exactly what to say to stir the pot just enough to get an argument going, then he would walk away grinning, proud of his work. While not openly admitted by any of them, his sisters would say he was the kindest and most generous sibling of them all.

Clint graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1976 and continued his education at the University of Houston where studied Electrical Engineering. As life has its twists and turns, Clint ended up landing in the lumber industry. For 41 years, Clint was a dedicated and loyal employee of Montalbano Lumber where he became their inventory manager. Clint was a big sports fan but he especially loved watching football and baseball, just like his parents.

Most importantly, Clint was a man of faith. His love for God led him to in-depth scholarly studies of the Bible. He successfully completed many graduate classes in Biblical studies at Houston Bible University, later known as the College of Biblical Studies. He loved knowing the intricacies of the Greek and Hebrew languages so that he could 1. Know God better. 2. Understand the Bible in its original and intended language. 3. Win any argument about the Bible.

Clint was a humble man who did not care about status, wealth, titles, or anything of worldly value. He was a man that loved to learn and he loved and encouraged everyone around him.

Clint remained single until the age of 50, when he married Corrie. Corrie and Clint had known each other since they were teenagers. Life has a funny way of bringing people together who are supposed to be together. Clint wholeheartedly loved Corrie. She was worth the wait. Marrying Corrie brought Clint immense joy. He always was the favorite among his nieces and nephews and because of his marriage to Corrie, he gained beautiful children and grandchildren of his own. His grandkids have known Clint to be a part of their entire lives. These five beautiful grandchildren called him "Gpaw" and that title is what made him the most proud.

Clint went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2023. He was 66 years old. We grieve for our loss here on earth of a dear son, brother, uncle, husband, stepfather, grandparent and friend. But we put our hope and joy in the Lord knowing we will one day be reunited with Clint in heaven where our eternity is secure in Jesus Christ.
