Clifton Jerry Pinckard, 88, of Houston, passed away April 24th. He was born June 30th, 1937, in Houston, Texas to the late Clifton J. Pinckard and Hazalea (Archer) Pinckard.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline Pinckard; brother Jack Pinckard; daughter, Catherine Pinckard Matthews, husband Rusty; daughter, Jeri Pinckard Straker, husband Justin; daughter in law Mona Pinckard; grandson, Joshua Matthews, wife Heather; granddaughter Lauryn Matthews Akagi and husband Joey, grandson, Austin Matthews and wife Michaela; grandson, Travis Matthews and wife Ashley; grandson, William Straker; granddaughter, Madisyn Straker; great-grandchildren, Hunter Matthews, Carter Matthews, Sophie Akagi, Benjamin Matthews and Oliver Matthews; Bailey Akagi, Delainey Matthews. Many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Pinckard.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, and canoeing. He and Madeline loved traveling and adventuring to many places and countries throughout their 68 years of marriage making unforgettable memories. He had an immense love of books and history, especially Texas history. Jerry had a great passion for baseball all his life which he shared with his family. He was an avid Houston Astros fan. Jerry lived a life full of love for his wife, children and grandchildren, with the love of many friends and extended family.

A Private Remembrance will be held at a date to be determined.
