Clifford (Cliff) Wayne Henderson was born in Houston, Texas on September 13, 1940.  He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 3, 2020.  Cliff was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon Henderson, his parents Homer and Rosalie Henderson, brothers William Henderson, John Henderson, Glen Henderson and sister Lillian Michael.  He is survived by his son Wade Henderson and wife Tommie, son Dean Henderson and wife Tanell, daughter Jan Henderson, son Scott Henderson and wife Dayna, sisters Gloria Henderson Palmer and Mae Kozelsky, twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Cliff graduated from Jeff Davis High School (now named Northside High School).  Cliff met the love of his life, Sharon, in high school and they were married soon after Cliff graduated.  Cliff lost Sharon to cancer 10 years ago.  He missed her tremendously and he is now reunited with her in Heaven.

After getting married, Cliff joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers where he became a Journeyman Electrician and worked his way up to Project Manager and Master Electrician before founding his own company, C.W. Henderson Electric, with his business partner, Don Rossow, in 1981.  Through Cliff's guidance and leadership, C.W. Henderson Electric became a key player in the electrical contracting industry in the Houston area.  The company has participated in numerous large projects throughout the area.

Cliff was heavily involved in his industry.  He was a Management Trustee on the Local 716 Pension and Annuity Trust Fund. He was member of the Southeast Texas Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).  Through the years, Cliff held many positions in the Chapter including Chapter President, Board of Directors member (28 years), Advisory Board of Directors member (5 years), and Houston Division Chairman (11 years).  In 1996, Cliff was inducted into the Academy of Electrical Contracting.

Cliff had many hobbies but he focused most of his time on Sharon. Cliff loved to duck hunt, fish for catfish in his pond, ride the Ranger with his dog Lacey, hang out with his family, eating out, and playing craps.  He was a regular at L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles where he played every Sunday.

He was a life-long fan of the Houston Astros.  His interest in the Astros started with the Colt 45's before they became known as the Astros.  He sold peanuts at the stadium to be able to see the games.  He was a regular at Spring Training and had season tickets for more than 20 years. He was present for the first and last pitch in the Astrodome and the first pitch in Minute Maid Park. When the Astros won the World Series in 2017, he said, "the Astros winning the World Series was one of the happiest moments in his life".

Cliff was a member of The Church at Creeks End in Spring, TX where he was a permanent fixture on the 6 ^th row of the sanctuary.   He supported many of the ministries at the church and many lives were touched through his generosity.

Cliff was known as one of those rare individuals that was equally loved by his family, friends and business associates.  He had a heart of gold and helped numerous individuals through difficulties.  He was always willing to listen and to give his opinion, when asked.  He exhibited a calm strength that few men possess and he had a wisdom about him that is rare to find in today's world.  One of his pastors had this to say about him, "He was a true man of honor that made other men want to be better men". He was a true gentleman and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in his honor to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research .
