Claudia Merle (Martin) Lange, 70, of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday August 24 in Conroe, TX.

Claudia was born in Pueblo, CO on May 13, 1947. She grew up in a military family in the US, Europe, and the Far East . She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Martin and her mother, Geraldine Lois Martin, and her infant son, Carl-Dietrich Lange.

Claudia graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, and a master's degree from The University of Colorado.  As an educator at Lone Star College, Claudia had a remarkable ability to teach immigrants to speak English. She was an avid traveler, reader, and gardener. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. By lending her experiences and wisdom, she helped them live a healthy and happy life. Her grandsons were her sunshine.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Lange Smith and husband Jeff of The Woodlands, TX, two cherished grandsons, Dylan 5 and Grayson 10 months. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her.
