Clarice Marie Swanson's Obituary
It has pleased our Father in heaven to summon to Himself Clarice Swanson on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the age 82 years, 10 months and 26 days.
Clarice was born April 30, 1936, in Spring, Texas, the daughter of Karl and Clara Hildebrandt Mueller. She was baptized May 17, 1936 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Klein, Texas and confirmed in May of 1950 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Raymondville, Texas. On November 23, 1959 she married Carl Swanson.
In 1955 she attended Durham's Business College in Harlingen Texas and received a certification in bookkeeping. In 1967 she worked at Houston Lighting and Power as a secretary and accounts receivable clerk. In 1975 she owned Our Ceramic Shop. Over the years she worked at numerous jobs.
September 18, 1994, Genesis Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in Buchanan Dam, Texas held its first church service.
Clarice and Carl were very involved in helping to establish this congregation and help it grow.
She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Westfield where she served as a volunteer for many activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Clara Mueller, her husband, Carl Swanson, her brother, Karl Mueller, Jr. and her niece, Leslie Pearson.
She is survived by her sister and her husband, Carolyn and Gary McCorquodale, her son and his wife, Ricky and Jami Gause, her son and his wife, Scott and Abigail Swanson. Grandchildren, Jennifer Alfano, Christopher Swanson, Della Marie Swanson, Sarah Swanson, and Hannah Swanson. Great granddaughter, Shelby Petrich. Nieces, nephew and various other relatives and friends.

Her body will be laid to rest in the St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery to await the resurrection on the last day.
