It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claire Desrosiers Boardman on January 12, 2022. Claire was born in Eagle Lake, Maine on October 30, 1919. She is predeceased by her husband George, her parents Pierre Desrosiers and Elise Martin, her brothers Lionel, Lawrence and Ronald, her sisters Juliette, Marie, Lorraine and Blanche and her grandson Kenneth Warr. Left behind to cherish many wonderful memories are her daughter Kathleen (Steven), grandson Daniel (Roberte) and great-grandchildren Alexis, Brendan, Alexander and Jessi-Claire Warr.
Claire left high school in her junior year to go to work to help her family financially. Later she earned a GED and took several college courses while working full time for 35 years in a jewelry findings business. In addition to sewing her own and her daughter's clothes for many years, she knitted, crocheted, embroidered, did Swedish weaving, and even produced many oil paintings. Reading, traveling and gardening were passions. Claire seemed to live by the motto, "Do no harm." As a result, this quiet lady was loved and respected by many. To show how much she was cherished even in her early years, two of her sisters named a daughter Claire, and a great-granddaughter Jessi-Claire was also named in her honor. She will be missed.
