Cynthia Irene "Cindy" (Smith) Jaeger, 70, of Houston, passed away on February 4, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Claude Earl Smith, Sr. and Maude Irene Smith on October 15, 1953, in Victoria, Texas.

Cindy married Murray Dale Jaeger in 1972, choosing to live and raise their family in the Houston area. She is survived by two children, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, the latter to whom she was affectionately known as "Giggles". Children: Keri Jaeger Weber and husband Shane, of West Columbia, and Clete Jaeger and wife Janna, of Tomball, Texas. Grandchildren: Bailey, Clayton, Ashley and Hagen Weber; Emme, Lila and Holden Jaeger; and great grandchildren Ila, Weston, and Carlee Johnson; Paisleigh and Brynleigh Weber.

Cindy is also survived by seven brothers and sisters: Granvel Smith, Vearl Smith, Geneva Nunnally-King, Eunice Dennis, Earl Smith, Judy Smith and Larry Smith. She is predeceased by three siblings: Norman Smith, Susie Lowe, and Pat Smith.

Cindy was an accomplished artist and designer. She began her career selling paintings and wreaths at The Westheimer Arts Festival in Houston. In the late 70's her dreams for a brick & mortar store came true when she opened Little Creations in Northwest Houston. In 1982 her children were asked to be in a style show for the department store Sakowitz and Cindy made them custom baskets to match their outfits. The next thing she knew Sakowitz wanted to know how fast she could make them and ship them across the nation for Easter! Her biggest endeavor Neat Ideas was born.

Most recently, Cindy Jaeger Designs evolved and enabled her to showcase her immense creativity, offering handmade accessories for the home and special occasions. She loved to share her passions with the community. Among her many creations, she will always be remembered for her personalized, over the top, Easter Baskets, embroidered pillows and "fabulous" bows, earning her the name "Bow Diva". She has brought joy to thousands of families and friends for decades. In recent years, her creativity included whimsical paintings – yet another extension of her extraordinary talent.

She touched countless other people during her time with us, always quick to make an introduction and jump straight to the heart in conversation. To her family and many friends, she will be remembered for her big smiles, infectious laughter, heartfelt and genuine hugs, seemingly endless number of stories and jokes, and a unique, effortless ability to bring joy and lightheartedness into any room. Cindy lived life "BIG" and anyone who was fortunate enough to know her could not help but be pulled into and share in her zest for life.

A visitation ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball with an 11 a.m. Celebration of Life to follow. If you are unable to attend you may join via live stream by clicking HERE.
