The world is a sadder place as it mourns the loss of Christopher Owen Young. Chris passed away suddenly on October 20th, and our hearts are truly broken. He enriched every life that he touched and was the rock that formed our foundation. We will miss our husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, son, son-in law, brother-in-law, cousin and friend as we try to recover from this tremendous loss and the realization that this is not one of his pranks.
Chris was preceded by his father, Richard Young and his grandparents, Eldred and Wanda Williams. He is survived by the love of his life, Kimberly and his three sons, Blake, Owen, and Hudson, who were the center of his universe. Chris is also survived by his brother, Mark Johnson, and twin sister, Hillary Guenthner (aka his partners in crime), his aunts, Gloria Curry, Melody Everett, and Holly Ruteshouser, who loved him more than life itself, and his mother, Judy Young.
He was blessed to have married into the Kruse Family who welcomed him with their open, loving hearts. As with all warriors, who fight the good fight, Kokopelli is piping him into heaven. Please join us for a casual celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial fund established for the children via Zelle to fore_everyoung@yahoo.com
His Journey's Just Begun - Ellen Brenneman
Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
My Hero, by Anonymous
"You held my hand when I was small
You caught me when I fell
You are the hero of my childhood
And my later years as well
And every time I think of you
My heart still fills with pride
