Christopher Mazzanti, a petroleum engineer, died unexpectedly on August 29th, 2023.

Chris is survived by his parents; Daryl and Kathleen Mazzanti; his siblings, Marie Mazzanti Proctor, David Mazzanti, Samuel Mazzanti; his nephews, Kade Proctor; Cole Proctor; Quinn Proctor; and Caleb Proctor.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ann Mazzanti and Joy White; and grandfather, William McKinley.

Chris was born in Houston, Texas on February 25th, 1987. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering with honors at Louisiana State University. He was a member of the Phi Delta Fraternity. Chris has worked for GeoSouthern Petroleum and Devon Energy Corporation. Chris was Senior Staff Engineer at GARP Services.

Chris could always make us laugh with his dry wit. He loved video gaming and all things computer since he built his first computer from scratch in high school. He followed anything to do with space exploration, especially with the Hubble Space Telescope. Chris loved reading, and read thousands of books in his life. He loved and adored playing with his nephews. We will miss him so very much.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, from 10 AM to 11 AM at St Ignatius of Loyola, 7810 Cypresswood Drive Spring, Texas 77379. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM.  Funeral Mass will be held immediately following at 11 AM with FR. Norbert presiding.  Inurnment to follow in Our Lady Of The Lake Cemetery In Lake Village Arkansas.
