In the early morning of Saturday, May 27, 2023, Christopher Alan Carmody, 63, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Julie and daughters by his side.
Chris was born September 7, 1959 in South Bend, Indiana to Jack and Alvia Carmody. He graduated from Hartman High School and served in the Army National Guard. Through a series of moves, Chris found himself in Southern California where he met his future wife, Julie Wilson. Chris and Julie married in 1992, and they moved to the Houston, Texas area. While work and adventure sometimes found them living in other locations, like California and Kansas City, Houston has been home to the Carmody family for the better part of 30 years.
He is best described by his family as a dreamer – a man with big ideas and a passion to see those ideas come to fruition. Owning several businesses and working in the construction contracting industry, Chris had a gift for seeing the outcome. He was a true visionary who left his mark on the community. Following in his late brother Jack's footsteps, Chris also became a National Champion Power Boat Racer in 2004
While work was certainly a big part of his life, Chris's true passion was his family. On any given evening or weekend, he could be found on a sideline cheering on one of his girls playing volleyball, or at a family gathering cooking up mischief. He loved watching his family enjoy each other's company, especially on the lake or at the family ranch in Arkansas. Chris also loved to be at the center of a conversation telling a story. Chris was a Christian man who was baptized and who accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2008. Chris's big personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

Chris was predeceased by his mother, Alvia Carmody, father, Jack Carmody Sr., and brothers William Carmody, Jack Carmody Jr. and Robert Carmody.
