Obituary

Christopher Brian Smith 42 years old, left his earthly body November 21, 2023 to be with his Heavenly Father.

Christopher was born January 10, 1981. At only 7 months old Christopher taught us what a true fighter he was going to be after an accident left him with severe Cerebral Palsy. Christopher was nonverbal, confined to a wheelchair, and required around the clock care. He was cared for at his family home by his loving parents Steve and Jackie. Despite Christopher's handicaps he lived a life full of adventure. He grew up attending the Klein schools where he had many close friends and amazing teachers. Chris was always the life of the classroom whether it be a full-blown Britney Spears party, bagging cheese balls for all his friends, or bringing in the latest movie releases and snacks to share with his classmates. Chris loved attending parties and social gatherings and to be around those he loved. His life long teacher and friend Martha Kaiser held a very special place in his heart and up to his passing still heard from her on a regular basis. Chris grew up enjoying playing baseball on a special needs team, and was an amazing bowler in the Special Olympics. He loved road trips, concerts, merry go rounds, simple outings to the store, and collecting anything Kermit the Frog, The Flinstones, Brittney Spears, Space, and Elvis. One of Christopher's most special traits was his personality. He loved being a prankster and playing tricks on everyone. His smile was contagious and his laugh brought those around him so much joy. He had the best sense of humor. Chris is a constant reminder of all that is good and beautiful in this world. He will be so greatly missed.

Christopher is survived by his loving parents Steve and Jackie and siblings Mary, Steve Jr., and Jennifer. Chris is the proud Uncle of 2 nieces and 10 nephews and had many other family members, friends and volunteers over the years. He is preceded in death by His grandparents Joe and Elaine Smith, Jack Clark Sr., and Mary and Larry Haigood. We know that Christopher got the most beautiful welcome to Heaven when he arrived and he is dancing and singing with the angels. For his body is made whole and healthy once again.
