Christine Smith Hallmark was born in Marlin, TX (Falls County) on November 13, 1931. She passed from this life March 8, 2024 in Cypress, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Carroll Hallmark, her parents, NB Smith and Sallie Vann Smith, her beloved mother in law Nettie Hallmark, a brother William R Smith (USMC Okinawa 1944), sister Ruby Fillip and husband George Fillip, and sister Berdie Marie Smith. Christine is survived by her son Barton Hallmark and wife Valarie Hallmark, daughters Velvet Hallmark, and Christi Miller. Granddaughters Kaylan Hallmark, and Milah Miller, and grandson Ashlan Miller. As well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Christine attended Marlin High School, and Sam Houston State University achieving a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of the professional society for women educators, Delta Kappa Gamma. She met the love of her life, Ernest Carroll Hallmark while teaching in Tomball. They married in 1957. She taught school in the Tomball ISD from 1955 to 1960. She taught school in the Cy-Fair ISD from 1961 through 1991 when she retired from teaching.

She was a long time member of Jersey Village Baptist Church and sang in the choir there for many years. She loved sewing, and playing games with her many friends. But she loved her family most of all. She unselfishly dedicated her life to her husband, her children and her grandchildren. Her life's goal was to ensure her family was taken care of, and that she set the best Christian example she possibly could.

Funeral Services for Christine Hallmark will be held at Champions Forest Baptist Church - Jersey Village Campus. In the Chapel.
