Obituary

Christina Maria "Tina" Davis, 72, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball. She was born July 24, 1951, in El Campo, to Henry John Kana and Elizabeth Krenek Kana.

Tina graduated from Wharton County Junior College in 1971 and went to work for Exxon. She worked for 35 years at Exxon, later Exxon Mobil. Tina worked in the Supply Department with most of her years spent working in the Marketing Department. After retiring in 2006, Tina spent time taking Caribbean cruises and traveling to Alaska and Hawaii with her beloved husband Red. Tina loved playing Scrabble, watching the Astros, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tina, happily known as Goo-Gee for 19 years, enjoyed taking trips to Sam Rayburn Lake with her sister Barbara and her husband Bill with her family. Goo-Gee loved watching her grandson Dallas fish and play saxophone and loved watching her granddaughter Ava dance. Goo-Gee went to every concert, fishing weigh in, and recital to watch her grandchildren do what they love.

Tina and Red are members of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Magnolia where Tina prayed the rosary before mass on Sunday mornings for over fifteen years.

Tina is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Dennis "Red" Davis and her daughter Kimberly Elizabeth Copeland and her husband David Copeland, and grandchildren Dallas Brady Copeland and Ava Christina Copeland. Tina is also survived by her brothers Gene and Tom Kana and sisters Barbara Kunetka and Rita Sifford.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry John Kana and Elizabeth Krenek Kana, and brother Raymond Louis Kana.

A viewing, and rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 302 S. Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX 77354. A graveside service will follow immediately at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354.
