Obituary

Christina Lynn Bloyd, 1987 - 2020

Christina Lynn Bloyd passed from this earth into the arms of our Father in Heaven on August 28th, 2020. Christina leaves behind her husband, Trenton Cody Bloyd, and her 3 year old son, Titus (Carter) Bloyd along with many other members of her family whom she loved with all her heart.

Christina grew up never knowing a stranger. She exuded joy on a level beyond most. Whatever her heart focused on, it was going to have her complete attention. Christina's impact on the lives of others will never be fully known as her life had taken her to many locations. Many of those locations found her focusing her attention on fighting the modern day slavery of human trafficking. She worked in Thailand, Mexico, and the US to raise awareness as she called communities she visited to help end all trafficking.

As she awaited the next opportunity to continue her fight against human trafficking, she and Cody entered into the adoption process. The day they picked up Carter was the best day of their lives. It began a journey of not only learning about having an adopted child, but also some of the realities of life as a minority and the racial injustices happening everyday. She had not yet known how to enter that cause, so she was learning all she could in order to be a bridge between cultures and communities which didn't understand each other.

The last year of her life was lived fighting everyday to understand and overcome the rare illness called dysautonomia that had taken over her body. There are many who face and suffer this illness with no answers to be found on either cause or cure. Her last cause was to seek out answers and help the medical community learn how to help all the others affected by this disease.

Christin Lynn Bloyd will be missed by all who knew her. She loved her family well, and she was equally loved in return.
