Chris A. Michels, 64, of Houston, TX peacefully passed away in his sleep on March 1, 2023.

He retired after nearly 32 years with the Houston Fire Department. After retirement, he picked up a hobby of being a school crossing guard as well as his enjoyment working in the school concessions with Klein ISD.

Chris had such a great enjoyment for his grandkids, cooking, hunting, traveling and his love for the casinos. From Las Vegas to Louisiana and cruising around the world, he made sure to enjoy his retirement to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Natalie Michels and his brother Michael Michels. Chris is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Annette Michels; son Ryan Michels and wife Nicole; daughter Brittany Spirito and husband David. 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas, Barrett and Gracelynn. Brother, Richard Michels and sister, Paula McDonald. In addition to his immediate family, he also leaves behind very dear friends and life long coworkers from the HFD that he considered family.

The family will hold memorial services at 10am on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Klein Funeral Home located at 16131 Champion Forest Dr. Klein, Texas 77379.
