Chris Gerald Andrews
January 30, 1950-October 27, 2026
Chris Gerald Andrews, 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 27, 2026. Born on January 30, 1950, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Beulah Moore, Chris moved with his family to Flint, Michigan, as a child.
Chris proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970 and was honorably discharged. In Flint, he met and married Gayle Nystrom. They welcomed their daughter, Michelle Marie, in 1971, and Chris later treasured his role as grandfather to Dalton and Cole Richey.
In October 1981, Chris moved his family to Spring, Texas, where he began working for Klein Independent School District. He dedicated himself to the district until retiring in 2015.
Chris found happiness in the things he loved most: his family, fast Chevy cars, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, reading, and cheering on the Houston Texans. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. A hard worker with a generous spirit, Chris was always ready to lend a hand when someone needed him. His warmth, loyalty, and willingness to help will be remembered by all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his wife of 14 years, Victoria Andrews; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Blake Richey; his grandsons, Dalton and Cole Richey; and his stepdaughters, Ashley Mauch and Stephanie Manness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Moore, and his wife of 37 years, Gayle Andrews.
Chris will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
