Spring

Obituary

After 53 hard years with diabetes, Cheryl Lynn Wagner, age 63, passed away on March 14th from a diabetic coma. Lynn was a native Houstonian who grew up in Southwest Houston. She graduated from Houston Baptist University with accounting and finance degrees. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Wagner in 1977 and gave birth to her daughter, Jennifer.

Shortly after that, they moved to northwest Houston. She and her husband, Ken, started a business in 1982 with Lynn handling the accounting and finances for the business. The business grew and became successful. At this time, they moved into Greenwood Forest. Both Lynn and Ken were very involved with the neighborhood and made great friends and had many wonderful memories.

Lynn and Ken later moved to Champion Forest. After Ken passed unexpectedly in 2016, Lynn moved to Spring where she and her daughter Jennifer lived across from the street from each other. They were blessed to be so close to one another. She was able to spend a lot of time with her grandkids and it helped living so close together with her health issues.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean Hutchison, and her husband, Kenneth Wagner. Survivors include her brothers Phil Multop, Mark Multop and Barry Hutchison; her daughter and husband, Jennifer and Robert Wahlstrom; grandchildren, Katelyn, Will and Cole.

Lynn loved vacations, games, her grandchildren and her friends. She was very giving and loving and has endured so much over the years. Now she can be free of all that. She gets to be with Ken again with no blood sugar issues and no foot issues. She will be forever missed but that gives me a little peace at this time.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like, you can make a contribution to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in Lynn's name.
