Cheryl Ann Mellon, 79, of Saint Amant Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025 in Magnolia Texas where she resided with her son Patrick Bazar. She was born on December 18, 1946, in Opelousas, Louisiana, to the late Rose Briley Gerchow and Joseph Gerchow .

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, John Mellon and youngest daughter Brandi Maisonneuve. She survived by her children, Patrick Bazar, Victoria Medley, Nicole Mellon; her grandchildren, Kami Bazar, Austin Hopkins, Kaitlin Hopkins, Chase Daniels, Emilee Mayeaux, Gabi Maisonneuve, Trey Maisonneuve, Steven Mccallum,Mika Bazar,Isabella Mccallum, Presley Bazar; and her great-grandchildren, Karson Hunter, Kenzleigh Hunter, Kambri Bazar, Ayden Risher, Ava Risher, Dominic Hopkins,Kase Bazar Adaline Hopkins

She dedicated 32 years of her life to a career in respiratory therapy, where she touched countless lives through her care and compassion a Catholic, Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and the deep love she had for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas. Burial will follow on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.

Cheryl's legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
