Cheryl Ann Maple, age 62, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Houston, Texas after a long illness battling Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). She was born on March 15, 1955 in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania and was preceded in death by both her parents, the late Gerald R. Maple and the late Wilma M. Maple. Cheryl grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Houston, Texas in 1971. She attended college at the University of Houston-Downtown and graduated with a BS Degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse, and later as an Assisted Head Nurse, for 17 years at Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a dedicated nurse and spent most of her career caring for head trauma patients until she became disabled after a job-related injury which led to her developing CRPS. Cheryl is survived by four sister: Karen (Michael) Johnson of Houston, TX, Linda ( Jerry) Ursprung of Liberty TX, Jody (William) Cromwell of Conroe, TX, and Debra (Robert) Sundquist of Parker, Co and a brother, Richard (Amber) Maple of Kemah, TX. as well as several nieces, nephews, and two grand-nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the CRPS Foundation. She will be missed by her family.
