Cheryl Ann Giroir Burnett, age 67, passed away on Friday, July 07, 2023, at her home in Cypress, Texas.

Cheryl was born September 30, 1955, to Don and Lee Giroir in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Cheryl grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Cabrini High School in 1973 and attended LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Cheryl worked for Cy-Fair ISD for 15 years.

Cheryl married Tom Burnett on October 17, 1978 at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, New York. They would have celebrated being married 45 years this coming October. They had two children, Shannon and Zachary.

Cheryl is survived by her spouse Tom, daughter Shannon Wuellner and husband Bret, son Zachary Burnett and wife Melissa; grandchildren Carter and Tucker Bostick, Brayden and Dylan Dearmond; parents Don and Lee Giroir, sister Melanie Blenkarn and husband Bruce, niece Brittany Craven and husband Josh with their daughters Riley and Rowan, niece Lauren Sibley and husband Jesse, and nephew Connor Blenkarn.

Cheryl loved cooking, gardening, and traveling, especially cruising. Her favorite trip was cruising along New England's coast to Nova Scotia during Fall Foliage to see the leaves change. One of her favorite activities was taking her grandsons on the Polar Express around Thanksgiving every year.

Recently, she enjoyed family trips to the Ozarks around Branson, Missouri area.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 12pm - 4pm at Lindsay Lakes, 16536 Mueschke Rd., Cypress, TX 77433.
