Charlsie "Corky" Marie McNown, 86, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026.

Born on January 8, 1940, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Corky was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married her high school sweetheart, Jesse McNown, and together they built a loving family. As a dedicated stay-at-home mother, she devoted her life to raising their three children and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and lasting memories.

Corky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse McNown; her parents, T.J. and Dicy Belle Says; her siblings, Carmen Holbrook, T.J. Says, Jr., Bobbie Scott, and Henry Says; her son-in-law, Allan Wilmes; and her great-grandson, Archer Young.

She is survived by her three children: Vicky Dudley (David), Robin Wilmes, and Keith McNown (Melissa). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Samantha Mims (Jim), Katie Braden (Douglas), Spencer McNown, Kelsie Jurenka (Joseph), Shannon Young (Michael), Keaton McNown (Natalie), and Griffin McNown.

Corky was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Tucker Haley, Charleigh Mims, Maverick Jurenka, Levi Braden, Max Young, Miles Braden, and Jesse McNown. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Corky's greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the kindness and care she showed throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the generations of family she cherished so deeply.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service and interment to follow from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Mausoleum Chapel at Klein Funeral Park – Spring-Klein at 9714 FM 2920 Tomball, Texas 77375.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Corky's memory to the charity of your choice.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
