Charlie Albritton Hudson, "Tuna" passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 21, 2023. Charlie was born to Henry Edward Hudson and Molly Albritton Hudson on October 18, 1943 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was a graduate of Hopkinsville High School and went on to attend The University of Mississippi where he received his undergraduate degree in 1965. While at Ole Miss, Charlie was a member of the freshman football squad and met his wife of 56 years, Peggy Brumfield Hudson. After the two were married in 1967, Charlie was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington before being sent to Vietnam in 1968. Upon his discharge from the Army in 1969, Charlie and Peggy settled in New Orleans, Louisiana where he began his career as a Petroleum Landman with Amoco. In 1970 they moved to Houston where Charlie worked for Amoco and Pan American Petroleum before he set out on his own in 1973 to start Charlie Hudson & Associates, Inc. Over the past 50 years Charlie operated his successful company while building lifelong friendships with numerous clients and helping countless young men and women begin accomplished careers in the oil and gas industry.

Charlie is survived by his Sister Nan Woodward of Cave Creek, AZ, wife, Peggy Brumfield Hudson, daughter Kendall Hudson McKinney of Cypress, Texas, and son Edward Karlyle "Lyle" Hudson (Elizabeth) of Cypress, Texas. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren; daughters of the late Charlie Albritton Hudson, Jr. Bailey Aileen Hudson and Kasey Briann Hudson, as well as Addison Elizabeth McKinney, Madeline Hudson McKinney, Charlie Hayden Hudson and Taylor Emma Hudson. Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved friend and Brother-in Law-J.P. Brumfield.

Charlie will be interred in a small family ceremony at Houston National Cemetery. A larger memorial followed by a reception for all of his family and friends will be held at 2:30 on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Lindsay Lakes located at 16536 Mueschke Road in Cypress, Texas.
