Charles Michael Williams, Jr.(63) went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday morning, June 7, 2018. He was born September 10, 1954 in Tampa, Florida to Ruth Elizabeth Parrott and Charles Michael Williams, Sr.

Charles grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Houston, Texas as a teenager. He met Maria (Marysia) Gazdyszyn in March 1972. Charles and Maria married on September 20, 1975 and were the loves of each other's lives. In 1977, they moved back to St. Pete, where they were blessed with two children: Lisa and John. They remained in St. Pete until 1989 when they returned to Houston.

Charles attended technical school to learn court reporting, which became his profession for 22 years. Charles would have several career changes until the late 2000s when he became a transportation specialist for a local machine shop, a job that afforded him great happiness.

Charles was a faithful follower of Christ, a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. One of Charles' great joys in life was being "papa" to his only grandchild, Leah. In addition to his relationship with Christ, family was the most important thing in Charles' life. He loved the beach and anything related to outer space because these things truly showed him God's majesty.

Charles was a loyal friend to all who were blessed to know him. Always upbeat, trustworthy, and dependable, Charles loved sharing his time with others. Despite a long battle with cancer, Charles gave much of his time volunteering and always showed warmth and a joyful spirit.

Charles is preceded in death by his father Charles Michael Williams, Sr. and his beloved sister Patricia Anne Cooper. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 43 years, Maria Williams, daughter Lisa Marie Honeycutt, son John Andrew Williams, daughter-in-law Sunyoung Park, and granddaughter Leah Michelle Honeycutt. He is also survived by his mother Ruth Elizabeth Williams, brother Tracy Lamar Williams, sisters Angela Puebla and Pamela Grosh, and many loving family members, too many to name.

In honor of Charles, the family asks those attending funeral services to wear blue, his favorite color.
