Obituary

Charles was born in Cleveland, Ohio during the depression, August 4, 1932. His Dad had a Goodyear Tire Store and paid for Charles' birth with a set of tires for the doctor.

He grew up in Cleveland and graduated from East High. Playing trumpet in the band was one of the highlights of his school years. By then his Dad had a gas station at 82nd and Superior and the family lived on 82nd Street so Charles was always expected to work at the gas station on vacation and weekends. He was not particularly happy about that situation. When he was 13, his sister, Linnea, was born.

He attended Case Tech (now Case/Western Reserve) for 2 years and then transferred to Bowling Green State University to finish his university work.
Graduated in 1954.

Charles joined the Army in 1955, basic training at Fort Knox and then to Hanau, Germany, H&S Company, Command A, Third Armored Division, as a Medic Assistant to the Division Surgeon, and trumpeter in the Army Band.

1955-1957 Fort Knox Kentucky then to Hutier Kaserne, Hanau, Germany. H&S Company, Combat Command A, Third Armored Division. Medic, asAssistant to the Division Surgeon, and he played in the Army Band.

After being discharged from the Service he worked for Thomson Ramo Wooldridge (TRW) in Cleveland and met Lucy (Ludmilla Circova) through a friend at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Charles and Lucy married in 1960. Charles worked for TRW or one of their divisions all his life. Auto parts were in his blood.

Their son, Charles Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA, May 13,1961. Shortly after they moved to Richmond, VA. George was born on December 29, 1962. George passed away October 24, 2014. The family lived in the Philadelphia area and Richmond, Virginia before moving to Solon, Oh (Cleveland suburb) in 1971. Then to Spring, TX in 1976.

Hobbies included Church, playing music and an avid vegetable gardener.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy, on December, 18, 2013. and son, George., on October 24, 2014.
