Charles Paul Pierett was born in Middletown, Ohio on June 4, 1953. He passed away on April 22, 2026 in Tomball, Texas. Paul was the third son of Gerald and Freda Pierett. He started his education at Blue Ball School and was in the Middletown High School class of 1971. Upon graduating from Warner Southern College in Florida, Paul decided to join the US Army in 1977. After spending his first enlistment as a chaplain's assistant he went to Officer's Candidate School. Paul graduated from OCS and began his officer career as a second lieutenant. His Army assignments took him to Germany, Hawaii, Iraq, Virginia and Fort Hood in Texas.

Paul's tenacity and drive enabled him to rise from the rank of private to retiring as a lieutenant colonel. While in the Army, Paul earned a master's degree. When his Army career ended he was, for several years, a special education teacher in Auburndale, Florida. Paul's next endeavor was that of certified golf instructor, improving the game of many golfers in central Florida.

Paul could push himself deep into studying a topic. He became very interested in sun spot activity and accepted an opportunity to share his findings at a sun spot conference in Europe. He was an outgoing, friendly man who was generous with his church and with others. It was innate in his nature to help other people. A good time was being with Paul watching a hilarious movie. He could laugh until he seemed to hurt. So many things interested Paul that he he didn't have time to satisfy his desire to know all he could about them.

But Paul's life took a tragic turn in 2018 when he was diagnosed by the VA with dementia. Paul bravely bore his burden until he passed in a memory home in Tomball, Texas. Paul is pre-deceased by his parents and his niece, Mindy Pierett. Surviving Paul are his brothers, Tom (Judy) in Magnolia, Texas, Steve (Connie) in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Mark (Christina) in Lebanon, Ohio. He's also survived by nieces Catherine Grace Pierett, Donna Kleb and nephews Aaron Pierett, Alexander Pierett, Nicholas Pierett and Stephen Mitchell.

Paul will be interred at the Houston National Cemetery.
