Charles Lee Petersen Jr. 70 years old, a Navy veteran of Magnolia Texas, passed away on February 24, 2022 after an exhausting battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

Charlie was born on October 17, 1951 to Charles Lee Petersen Sr. and Wanda Rose Gray Petersen in Houston Texas. Charlie was a student of Tomball High school in Tomball Tx. After high school he proudly served in the US Navy where he met his life-long friend Randy Ray of Klein Tx at NATTC Millington AE (A) school in Tennessee. The duo was later stationed together in NAS Kingsville flying Huey helicopters and he was with the search and rescue unit (SAR). While stationed in Kingsville Texas, he met the love of his life Deborah (Debbie) in March 1975, they were married on August 30, 1975, going on to have 3 children, Charles Lee III, James Dustin and Audra Johanna.

Charlie was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them.

Charlie was passionate about his friends, always making sure they were okay. He was also as passionate about his fishing and his Harley. He could often be found somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico on his boat, or at a Harley Davidson dealership when he wasn't at home.

Anyone who knew Charlie knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Charlie was predeceased in death by his father Charles Lee Sr, mother Wanda Rose and son Charles Lee III. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Deborah, son Dustin, daughter Audra Bohannon, son in law James, 4 grandchildren Olivia A Petersen, Wyatt J Bohannon, Paisley R Bohannon, Presley R Bohannon, and 1 great-grandchild Dustin Allen expected July 2022.  Also survived by numerous other family and friends.  He also leaves behind his constant loyal companion Harley, his eleven-year-old dachshund.

There will be a funeral service on March 2,2022 at 10am at Klein funeral home, Tomball Texas. The viewing will be on March 1, 2022 from 5-8pm.
