Charles Edgar "Charlie" Miller passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 15, 2018.

Many friends and family members were able to visit and share stories with him to comfort him during his final days. He is reunited in heaven with his wife, Marjorie Bullington Miller, his departed parents, and six siblings.

Charlie was born in Canton, N.C. on November 6, 1925.  He was the eldest of 10 children.  He served in the U.S. Navy as a signalman during World War II.  He graduated from Auburn University in 1948 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  He began his career at Humble Oil in New Orleans, LA, where he met and married his wife, Marge in 1952.

The couple moved to Midland, TX where they raised five children. Then, after several transfers with his job at Drilco, he finally brought the family to Spring, TX.  He worked at Drilco in various positions, and later as a consultant for several years.  During his retirement, he worked as The Cypresswood Handyman and was a fireman for Ponderosa Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Charlie was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He always enjoyed our "family" time, which included; Saturday burgers, Sunday dinners, annual beach reunions, and visits to the family lake house.  He was an avid story teller, voracious reader, talented guitar player, crossword puzzler, and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his five children: Peggy Taylor and husband Jim, Mary Miller, Patsy Stanley and husband Mike, Greg Miller and wife Cathy, and Karen Brunson and husband Jimmy.  His grandchildren and great grandchildren include: Laura Taylor-Dunn, husband Nate Dunn and daughters Maren, Rowan and Evan Dunn; Kelly Taylor Hughes, husband Jason and sons Wyatt, Dawson, and Cooper Hughes; Christy Taylor Goff, husband Kevin, and daughter Charley Goff; Justin Stanley, wife Violeta and son Jeorge Stanley; Clayton, Kellen, and Brendan Stanley; Maxwell Miller and wife Chelsye; Madison, Makenzie, and Malerie Miller; J.D., MaryBeth and Reece Brunson.

He is also survived by sister, Joyce Ware, and two brothers Gene Miller and Bnjmn Lygh and wife Harriett, all from N.C.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, private 5:00-6:00 pm, public 6:00-8:00 pm, at Klein Funeral Home, located at 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring TX.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Friday, September 21, at 11:00 am.  The church is located at 18511 Klein Church RD, Spring, TX.  Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX.

Reception will be at 6:00 pm, the same day, at the Cypresswood East Clubhouse, 3705 Cypresswood DR.
