Charles "Chuck" Edward Maxey

Chuck Maxey, 63, passed from this world into the arms of Jesus to begin his new life on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, surrounded by his wife Karla and loved ones. Chuck was born on October 6, 1954 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from B.C. Elmore High School excelling in both football and basketball and receiving both football and academic scholarships to The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho where he received his BBA in 1976.

Chuck and his beloved Karla Lee Klahr were married for 38 glorious years. They demonstrated to everyone and each other what joyous, exuberant, wholehearted, boundless love could be achieved in a God based foundational marriage. Two hearts knitted together as one as only God can.

After college Chuck went into the banking industry until he began his stellar career in sales with National Federation of Independent Business where he excelled for the last 25 years. Chuck received 11 Presidents Club Top Producer Awards; 6 Elite Presidents Club Summit Awards; 4 Founders Exclusive Achievement Awards; 4 Top Sales Division Wilson S Johnson Awards and 2 Quarterly Achievement Awards. Chuck was a Division Trainer for 23 years, his ever present smile touching and impacting hundreds of careers and lives. His career associates described Him as solid as "The Rock" he stood on every single day as he exhibited the Fruits of the Spirit to everyone who crossed his path. One of the essentials he always shared with his trainees was their need to have Jesus guiding and directing them and what a difference He would make in their lives. He wanted all his trainees to be successful and love their job and Jesus as much as he did. He was always witnessing, always exhibiting Jesus' love to everyone, with a smile and style that was Chuck's alone.

Chuck was in Bible Study Fellowship for 29 years, 14 years as a Children's Leader. He loved his kids and wanted every young heart and mind to know Jesus personally. His BSF family has lost a great mentor, teacher and friend.

His Church family was his extended family and as a Church Elder, Mentor, Men's Ministry participant and Greeter he worshipped exuberantly in action and song. As a Greeter he was known church wide for singing people right on into the church on Sunday mornings.

His passion also extended to the tennis courts where almost every Saturday, he could be found not only playing with good friends, but also witnessing to good friends.

Chuck is survived by his wife Karla, one son Charles Maxey Jr.; five siblings, brothers Alfred Sharp, Michael Maxey, Calvin Maxey and sisters Deborah Maxey and Vanda Maxey; Brother-in-law Keith Klahr and Brother-in-law Eldon Book; along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Chuck loved fiercely and compassionately his God, his wife, his family and his friends. Only God knows how many lives have been impacted eternally by Charles "Chuck" Edward Maxey.
